
SODCO Advisory Board
The SODCO Advisory Board (SAB) is charged with formulating long-range scientific and policy recommendations pertaining to U.S. SciOD, evaluating SODCO operations and accomplishments, reviewing community proposals and applications related to SciOD, providing advice to SODCO, and stimulating and coordinating broad participation by an active SciOD community within the U.S. through outreach and community-building activities.
Volunteer for the SAB
SODCO is seeking scientists to join the SODCO Advisory Board!
To Volunteer: Send a cover letter and two-page CV to Angela Slagle, SODCO Director of Science Services, by August 14th, 2026. Letters should clearly indicate your primary field of expertise, briefly document previous committee experience with scientific ocean drilling or other relevant programs, and describe your interest in the U.S. scientific ocean drilling program (now and in the future).
Eligibility: SAB members must have completed a PhD, have an active primary affiliation with a U.S. institution, and reside in the U.S.
